...MIGHTY KIDZ REPORTING... |
My Trip To Myanmar
by Evan Wong (10 yrs old)
In August last year (2008), I went to Myanmar with a Missions Team. This was my second trip going to Myanmar. I was also the youngest member in my team.
On my first day, we went to a village school. There were about 40 kids stuffed inside a small shack. When we reached there they all greeted us. Inside the classroom, we did some activities with them. First we played some games, then we prayed for them. When it was time to leave, I felt sad.
On day two of our trip, we had a scavenger hunt for the youths. They all had a great time. And on our last day, we went to the church to say goodbye to everyone. After that we had a delicious lunch.
I hope I can go back to Myanmar again because the people there are so caring. |

December Bites
My identity in Christ
Hey, Mighty Kidz! Don't compare yourselves with others or feel bad about yourself. Jesus says you 'ROCK' b'coz you are His.You don't have to prove yourself to anyone or try to be like somebody else. No way! You are special because Jesus lives in YOU.
DO READ this out LOUD and start to feel good about yourself!!
(by Neil T Anderson)
IN CHRIST I AM ACCEPTED
I am God ‘s child
I am Jesus’ friend
I have been bought with a price. I belong to God.
I have been adopted as God’s child.
I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins.
IN CHRIST I AM SAFE AND SECURE
I am assured that all things work together for good.
I cannot be separated from the love of God.
I am a citizen of heaven.
I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.
I am born of God and the evil one cannot touch me.
IN CHRIST I AM SIGNIFICANT
I am the salt and light of the earth.
I am God’s co-worker.
I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realm.
I may come to God with freedom and confidence.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Happy Mother's Day
Aunty Ivy, Aunt Shantha and Che-che Yuli and all the other aunties...really helped us to make it a special day for all our mommies. We had a really fun video, a funny song dedication together with the kor-kors and che-ches, good food and of course, roses - which we presented to the mommies first thing as they came through the doors. It was worth it seeing their happy smiley faces. God bless our mommies.

23 March Sunday
Resurrection Sunday
We got together with Aunt Shantha & Aunt Viv to learn a song "Above All" with sign language! It was real fun as we learnt it together as a group and in front of the mirror. On the day of our pre-recording, we sang our hearts out even tho' some of us were nervous. But on Resurrection Sunday, we just gave our best. "Thank U, Jesus, for saving us!"

Nov 29 - Dec 1

29 Nov - 1 Dec 2007 was our Mighty Kidz Camp and our theme was “Transformer”.. Our children couldn’t contain their excitement and enquired each day till the day finally arrived. It was good to see many new faces and as the “troopers” arrived, the “buzz” grew louder as they waited in anticipation for it to start.
It was an exciting 3 days with activities like Grocery Shopping, Amazing Race, Cooking Session, Forest Adventure, Fear Factor Game, Water Bomb and finally a visit to the Bird Park. Through these activities; the children learnt to work together as a team, rise up to challenging moments, putting others before themselves and unity in diversity. We also encouraged Character first qualities like Obedience, Self Control, Attentiveness, Responsibility & Patience throughout the camp. Yes, we asked for God to change and Transform us in one area.
Our kids loved the outdoors. Everyone wanted to sleep in the tents. The first night 4 toads visit our tents and that really got some of our younger boys playing heros. On the second night most of our kids knocked out quickly after lights out. The Forest Adventurer had been rather challenging earlier on. Many overcame their fears and emerged more confident.
Our children cooked Spaghetti and Shepherd’s pie, had donuts for snack one day, pizza , hamburger, nuggets and even the ice cream came by one afternoon. Food wise, it was fabulous.
Each day was filled with fun activities. We experienced beautiful weather and answered prayers.Thank you Lord! At the closing after each team did their cheer & performance and winners announced, all the kids raved about the forest adventure and the water bomb. You see they enjoyed most the simple things in life.
Thank you God for watching over every one of us! Thank you campers! We love you!

11 November Sunday
Today we had another great service with our Mighty Kidz.
Games and story time were a great hit again: we played a game where the children were formed into 4 teams. Each team member had to reach the other end via a telematch game in order to collect the puzzle to form the month’s memory verse.
The Kidz' co-operation and co-ordination were awesome: unity was reflected in each team and.. the team leaders did a great job too.
Pastor Ping led our Kidz story time this week onThe Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32). The children learnt that in life, we should not be envious of others, but to be grateful to GOD instead for what we have and what HE has given to us. Envy leads to anger, pain and stress.
Today we also celebrated Mighty Kid Chloe Chua’s 7th birthday: Happy Birthday, Chloe.
