Whether it is the poor and needy, or simply those who need a second chance in life - we want to make a significant contribution in seeing hope and a smile return to people's lives.
PRISON MINISTRY
As part of our community work, our church has been working with the Prisons Department since August 2000. We provide volunteers who are involved with the In-care (while in prison) and After-care (upon their release) to young men between the ages of 16-21 years.
Our work at Reformative Training Center (RTC) has touched hundreds of young lives and revolves around 3 core activities: Friendship building, sowing the Gospel Message and teaching biblical truths that can be applied to everyday living. As young people are full of energy and zeal but lack mentors who are positive influences, it is our desire to connect with the youth in our society who often lack the family warmth, security and necessary guidance. We aim to meet the needs of these young men and seek to understand their problems and circumstances.
Some believe that RTC means “Road to Changi”, alluding that they will go on to a life of crime and its subsequent place of punishment. We say that RTC is the “Road to Christ”. God bless you abundantly.
