    +2010 EVENTS

Ps John and Julie Steele (New Life Churches, NZ)

    14-22 July 10

We all attentively soaked in everything from our first Wednesday meeting. Seeing God use Ps John and Julie, and moving in the people's hearts - faith was built up. NEW things are on the way: direction, leadership, authority, giftings, maturity...transformation that has and will take place for us to get to this new place. But it all begins in us first.

Thank you, Ps John and Julie for your wise counsel, teaching and exhortation. We are greatly blessed by the prophetic word given through you. God bless you in all ways.

    Church Anniversary 2010

    17 July 10

Whoa! The atmosphere was filled with such an anointing of the Holy Spirit - it was awesome. It was different somehow, and we knew it was God doing it. The preaching and testimonies went forth powerfully, and people made life-changing decisions. Praise be to God.

After the service, we had a a wonderful, warm gathering at our dinner celebration - it felt real good. Hearts and lives were really being connected. Thank you, LORD, for blessing us with a wonderful new year ahead and for what you've seen us through. Thank you, Ps John and Julie for celebrating it with us and making it extra special.

    Ordination: into Eldership

    18 July 10

Our 3 Core leaders, Paul Wong, Ronald Mak, and Yohanes Sjarifudin, were ordained into Eldership on this exciting day. Our pastors together with Ps John and Julie, laid hands and prayed over our core leaders and their wives. Thank you, Lord, for these faithful and steadfast men and women who love you and the church. Congratulations to our Pastors. We love you.

Victory Life Christian School: Racial Harmony Fun Fair

    17 July 10

VLCS braved the odds and rain, and exercized its faith and fervour, and put up a resounding and successful fun fair. Congratulations to all students, supervisors, staff, and parents for making it a day to remember. Thank you, supporters, for being there. See you next year.

Church Camp: Guest Speaker, Ps Benny Ho

    Malacca 19-22 June 10

Anticipation was in the air as the church gathered for the 1st time in the ballroom for our 1st session - and then Ps Benny Ho announced that he was led to change his planned topics and shift gears as God was directing him. That was it! Great excitement rose in our hearts. We knew that God was going to do something powerful - and YES - it was a breakthrough weekend!

Oh, how God spoke. He brought answers to many, and we saw freedom from addictions, restoration of relationships. healings and in-fillings. The Word really went deep as people were just so 'broken' before Him. Thank you, God, for meeting with us with your love and grace. Thank you, Ps Benny, for being so faithful to God's voice and available to us, to see people being set free with the Truth. God richly bless you, your family, ministry and church.

Inspire Event: The More We Get Together

    27 May 10

Inspire (made up of our Adults) got together and showed how they knew how to have a jolly good time with "Don't Forget Your PnW lyrics", groovy dance moves, side-splitting games and of course, good food. It was a really 'let your hair down' time that brought people together through laughter and team work. Great job and well done to our organizing committee who pulled out all stops to make it totally memorable,

    Water Baptism - Family Day

    25 April 10

Yahoo....13 wonderful people decided to get water baptized and it was exciting to see their faith in obeying what Jesus taught. Way to go, people! God bless you.

And as usual, we celebrate our water baptisms by making them church family gatherings. This time we had a telematch - young and old - all geared up to have a sporting (and fun-filled) great time. It was a joy to just be a spectator too as one could savour the delicious hi-tea spread. Thanks to the organizing team for always blessing us.

    Pastor Song Tjoa (NLF Yangon)

    11 April 10

It is always a pleasure to have Ps Song and family with us. Not only because they are a long-time friend of our church, but also an example adn inspiration to us. Always with a sure Word from God for us, we cannot help but be convicted and impassioned with what God is speaking to us during this season.

Let's not be satisfied with the status quo. Let's not remain the same - we need to keep growing and maturing and living others. Let's be serious about God tells us to do. So, thank you Ps Song for faithfully and boldly speaking out God's Word. God bless you and your ministry overseas with your family.

Resurrection Sunday: Meet the Risen Son

    Celebration of An Abundant Life

    4 April 10

One of the most exciting days of the year for us is Resurrection Sunday because of the special significance of God's love for mankind. He's awesome. The church was wonderful in bringing everything together in honour of God, and our guests were simply beautiful.

This year we launched our Chinese LifeNet and they gave a wonderfully sincere song-dance performance that moved our hearts. Not only that, Ps Simon's sermon stirred something in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Are we realizing our potential or are we just stuck in a rut or rat-race? We want to be what God has called us to be.

Thank you everyone for being a big part of this day. Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for us and ALIVE in our lives.

Israel O Israel: In the Footsteps of Jesus Tour

    9-18 March 10

We fell in love with Israel where she managed to capture our hearts with her beauty and character. W did not know what to expect but we were not disappointed. Coming out of the experience with such a better insight of what Jesus went through and the nation we call the Holy Land, we have a sharper appreciation of the scriptures. WE love JESUS!

    Ps Benny Ho (Arrows Ministry)

    26 February & 26 March 10

Each time we have a teaching session by Ps Benny, we anticipate such a rich adn fulfillinh time of learning...and we are not disappointed each time. We thank God for the partnership we have with Ps Benny who gives and gives of himself jsut to build our church up. We appreciate him so much. And we are also looking forward to having him once again as our Guest-speaker at our church camp this year. More times of connecting with God through Ps Benny's ministry. Praise God!

    Guest-Speaker: Ps Lawrence Chua (LSBC)

    15 March 10

Ps Lawrence always manages to deal with sober issues in a humourous yet convicting way that brings people into a deeper understanding of God's love and will for them.

We thank Ps Lawrence for his graciousness and willingly 'attending' to our church members when the church leadership was on tour to Israel with a vibrant group of members.

    Bro Kelvin Soh Say Min

    17 January 2010

Bro Kelvin's music, singing and testimony (in Mandarin and Hokkien) moved us to tears, while conviction and hope tugged at our

hearts to make us see the wonder of God's grace and love to transform any life that seems hopeless and worthless, to something of such blessing and promise.

How amazing to hear that 20 years spent in jail for drug offences could than be redeemed by God to craft a new destiny of hope and meaning.

God is GOOD! We thank Bro Kelvin and his wife for their sharing and faithfulness in serving the Lord.

We rejoice with them for the way God has been using them. God bless them and their grandma with strength and joy for each day.

    +2009 EVENTS

    DAZZLING CHRISTMAS: Retro Retro Nite

    24 December 2009

Who would have imagined our carpark transformed into a colourful retro dinner place that served delicious teochew dishes...or that everyone would look so fabulous in their loud and bright retro outfits? The excitement and celebratory spirit of the night was so evident as people were laughing. making friends and having a great time. We also believe that many were touched by Ps Simon's Christmas message judging from the amazing response at the altar. We praise God for His awesome presence.

    Ps Tom Bachtle (Hillsong Church)

    5-7 December 2009

We were so pleased to have Ps Tom come minister once again at our church. His usual exuberance and excitement about God and His love never fails to move our hearts to know that God is so wonderful and will use us when we are willing.

God bless Ps Tom and his family in 2010 to be a powerful testimony to so many others.

Ps Aaron Chieng (Young Adult Pastor, CLC. Perth)

    20-22 November 09

Ps Aaron really spent time and ministered to all the different age groups, and certainly impacted the Youths, ignited the Young Adults, and inspired the Adults. Whether it was at the services, informal meetings, to an 'Easy Afternoon', bowling or having meals with the different groups, Ps Aaron was such an example of humility, being real and on fire for God.

We thank God for Ps Aaron, and we will surely see him and his wonderful church in the near future. God bless you, Ps Aaron in all that you do.

    MIGHTY KIDZ Post-Exam Party

    21 November 09

Our first-ever P.E.P. by the Mighty Kidz was such a resounding success. There were many firsts here.  There were 100 children who were guests, and they had great fun jumping on the bouncy castle, playing at the games stalls, taking part in the Yo-yo and Hula-hoop competitions, and being entertained by our magician, face-painting, balloon sculpting, and giant janga blocks games.  Megcorp Super Yoyo was there too to show the kids a thing or two. And not forgetting the food that more than satisfied everyone.

Then there was our Sales Bazaar that went all out to impress, delight and raise funds for our Missions Work in Cambodia and Myanmar. You should have seen the smiles of delighted shoppers with their shopping bags.

Thanks to everyone who made this such an awesome P.E.P.  We could not have done it without all of you.

Victory Nite (Victory Life Christian School)

    17 November 09

VLCS held its graduation and awards night at our premises and the rain was not going to stop a meaningful evening of proud moments, inspiring speeches, fantastic showcases and more. There were many significant moments like the Blessing Time between the children and their parents. We thank God for the wonderful work He is doing through this school.

God bless Mrs Jan Boey (Snr Administrator), Mr J Raj (Principal), the staff, students and parents of VLCS.

Rev Joe Purcell (Director; Rhema Bible School)

    15 November 09

We were cheering and shouting as if we were at a soccer game at the stadium, but it was far better than watching a match. We were really impassioned by the fiery, faith-building message on "Faith that Prevails". We know that our declarations need to be spoken out loud if we want to win!

Thank you, Revs Joe and Mary, for inspiring us to another level of faith. God bless you, your family and your ministry.

    Pastor Darren Kitto (Hillsong)

    17-18 October 09

After the weekend with Ps Darren, people were anointed with exciting new ideas as God started to speak to us about the new ground that we are to take...by being a people who will use what's in our hands and do something great for God. Many were inspired to just love others and be a blessing to the community.

We'd like to thank Ps Darren for swinging by to Singapore to spend time with us and for sharing a word from God and his life with us.  God bless you and your family.

Rev Dr Samuel Dhanaraj (Dean; Rhema Bible School)

    11 October 09

What a rip-roaring time we had as Rev Samuel shared a refreshing and powerful message on Winning Souls. The many testimonies and stories that peppered th message made such a deep impression in our hearts to catch hold of the keys to reaching out.

Thank you, Rev Samuel and family for your sharing and faitfhulness, and for blessing us with your presence. God bless you richly.

    Mid-Autumn Festival Party

    3 October 09

It was on a beautiful, breezy night at a colourfully lanterned rooftop garden where we met to make new friends at our Chinese fellowship party. We ate, talked, laughed, made lanterns and of course, had some delicious mooncakes too. What a night to remember!

    Two Special Events

    on 27 September 2009

    1. Rev Dr Frederick Ang (Geelong, Melbourne)

We were really honoured to have Rev Ang with us once again. His humility, sincerity and faithful obedience to God inspires us all. We always enjoy his stories and preaching which leaves a deep impression.

Thank you Rev Ang for taking the time during this season to come share your life and God's word with us.  God bless you, your family and your church.

    2. Launch of Our New Chinese LifeNet

God is good and we thank God for these faithful ones who came early on Sunday morning to begin our first Chinese LifeNet.

It's fantastic to see the enthusiasm and commitment of this new group. God is certainly pleased.

Ps Brenden Brown (Hillsong Church):  Explosive Weekend

    11-13 September 09

Friday night began with awesome worship and when Ps Brenden launched into his "Prison Break" message - that was it - all hearts were turned to the truth that God wants us free and out of our prisons of lack, hurt, circumstances....Release came for the crowds who came forward for prayer. And at our Saturday (youth) and Sunday services, hearts were awakended to Being the Light and living out God's will.

Thank you Ps Brenden, and Nathan and Daniel, for making it such an Explosive and Amazing time. See you next year.

Thank you too for being at our Water Baptism celebration to bless and baptize the wonderful 17 people with Ps Simon and Ps Lawrence. It certainly made it memorable. It was fantastic seeing both young and old choosing to show their commitment to Jesus.

    Ps David Storer

    "Victory In Your Mind" Seminar

    7-9 August 09

What a wonderful National Day weekend. It was filled with warm laughter, heart-moving moments, thought-provoking challenges...and spirit-led teaching. The revelation we received from this seminar shed so much light on how God wants us to walk in freedom in our thought life.

Thank you, Ps David, for bringing us this teaching that 'woke' us to a whole new understanding of God's truth. It was a fulfilling fun-filled 3 days of learning from you. God bless you.

    10th Anniversary Celebration

    11-12 July 09 (Saturday-Sunday)

Two days of celebration. 11 July kicked off with hi-praise.  And we thank God for bringing through 10 years and on this night 'birthed' many firsts...

    • We had a fantastic production called "Ming Kee' by our D-Team (drama team). The beautiful set, mature acting and wonderful execution brought us into another world. This touching story of forgiveness was a resounding success.

    • We cut our first song CD - composed by Anna Fu and Joanne Tan.

    • We produced Pastor's first sermon CD "The Greatest Cause" that was given out to our guests.

    • Another first was the nearly 500 people (our congregation size is about 250) who came for our celebration. The place was packed and it was a 'hot' time.

    • Then we had a hilariously good time with the Saturday (IG)nite Fever item by Ignite ROCKS! Talent and colour abounded.

    • Finally, a nostalgic video that traced our history moved us all.

We can't wait for our next anniversary.

Then on 12 July, we had more 'treats'.  Not only are we grateful to our guest-speaker Ps Lawrence Chua (LSBC) who spurred us on with his powerful message, we also celebrated the birthday and ordination of Ps Lawrence Hee. Congratulations, Ps Lawrence HEE!

And we thank our wonderful Pastors Simon and Ping, and all our pioneer leaders who have given so much in love, time and labour to the church.  We love you ALL.

    Rev Ginny Hanson

    26-28 June 09

Surrendering our will and submitting to the love of a great God...Follow Him and make CHOICES that bring life and blessings! Amen!  It was a powerful and anointed time with Rev Ginny Hanson who poured her life and love in her ministry to us. We thank Rev Ginny for sharing her insights and more importantly her personal experiences to testify how God is more than able to heal and turn things around for His glory and our eternal benefit.

We were also so happy that our missionary with In His Steps International, Daniel Leo, accompanied Rev Ginny from Cambodia to be with us. We were touched by his testimony of what God is doing in his life. Take care, Daniel, as you return to Cambodia. We are so proud of you and we will truly miss you.

    Ps Eric Dooley

    2-3 May 09

We had such a meaningful and enjoyable time with Ps Eric Dooley, a father in the Lord to us. We learnt so much from his sincere and candid sharing on being a husband, a father, pastor, evangelist and church planter. We were truly inspired to grab hold of the wonderful calling and purpose that God has called us to be and do. We thank God for Ps Eric - for his love and encouragement to see us grow.

    Ps David Storer:  Leadership Seminar

    16-17 April 09

It was such a privilege to have Ps David Storer, Arrows Ministry (Perth), who gave such a fresh and convicting perspective of being a leader - someone who is secure and made whole in Christ through His love. We relooked at our need for God and our love for Him. Experiencing the wonderful presence of God and His love was amazing as we felt the liberating power of God's word. Thank you, Ps David, for reshifitng our 'eyes' to what is vital to being good leaders.

    Resurrection Sunday: Risen Son

    12 April 09

The Tomb is Empty - Praise the Lord! We have such an amazing God who gave it all for us. And we wanted to have a celebration of praise that would really bless God's heart and to thank Him for His love, sacrifice and eternal life in Christ. We love you, Lord Jesus.

    Ps John and Julie Steele

    1 - 9 April 09

What an amazing week we had with Ps John and Julie who once again poured out their love and ministry to the church and people at our services and meetings. The prophetic word went forth for the church that we are moving to the next level. We are to take hold of the apostolic call and do what we have been commissioned to do with kingdom authority. Amen.

Thank you, Ps John and Julie - for the time you gave willingly to build us up. The Adults, Young adults, Youth, Children and VLCS thank you.

    Water Baptism

    15 Mar 09 Sun

Look at the wonderful people who got water baptized - both young and the 'older' ones made a choice to obey the Lord's Word. It was an amazing afternoon at Highpoint where the church turned up to witness this occasion and encourage the 'Baptisees'. The prophetic word that went forth was powerful and we know that God was simply pleased with the unity and love of the whole church.

Ps Robert Hartzell (Fountains of Life): The Father's Love Seminar

    20-22 February 09

It was just so encouraging to see so many men and women respond to our Heavenly Father's love.  When we recognized the pain we've lived with for so many years because there was a need for love that was not fulfilled - we could start on the journey of forgiving and letting go of the bitterness and hurts.  People felt 'lighter' as if a load had fallen off them. Some could even go home and tell their parents that they loved them despite the hurts. That's God's healing love!

Our Heavenly father is always there ready to embrace you.  Let us run to His arms for our healing. Let us be obedient to forgive those who've hurt us so deeply - and let us find freedom and LOVE.

Thank you, Ps Robert, for the intensive 3 days you spent with us to help us on this journey to discover God's love.

Sending Out Daniel Leo - Our Missionary to Cambodia

    1 February 09

It was a proud moment as we prayed, laid hands and sent Daniel out as a missionary for a year to work with Rev Eric and Ginny Hanson.  Proud - not because of anything that we've done, but because Daniel himself has come so far to take this step of faith to go to Phnom Phenh.

Dear Daniel - we will truly miss you. We are here for you always in every way. Take care, bro. We will see you soon.

    Guest Speaker: Ps June Chuah

    1 February 09

It being Chinese New Year, it was really nice to have our own 'reunion' with a dear friend of the church, Pastor June Chuah, with us. As usual, our hearts did not fail to be moved by her testimonies and preaching. We really thank God for the work He is doing in Uraguay through Ps June, her husband Ps Kari, and children. May God continue to bless New Wine Church and her pastors.

    PAST EVENTS

    Thanksgiving Service

    31 December 08 - 1 January 09

Goodbye 2008 and Hello 2009. What a special and significant time we shared together as a church and with friends. This year was extra special because Pastor shared about the anointing of God. The leaders then anointed everyone with oil at the altar. We are certain that God will bless us in 2009 with greater measure of faith by His Spirit and power.

We praised and worshipped our Lord, prayed for 2009, fellowshipped over food and games...and had real FUN ushering in 2009 with a special time of Thanks and Honouring! You guys are great!

    We "THANK You":

GOD - for your faithfulness and love to us.

Pastor Simon and Leaders - for caring and loving us.

The Service Organizers - for doing an amazing job blessing us all in whole month of Dec.

Special NLCC family - for always being there, giving of your best and building God's Kingdom selflessly.

    BLESSED 2009, Everyone!

Explosive Weekend: Ps Brenden Brown (Hillsong Church, Sydney, Aust)

    7 - 9 November

Two super-cool guys flew into Singapore and challenged us to live seriously for Christ and have fun. We were challenged with the word of God to live pure and holy - to keep our focus on Christ. Let us rejoice as we saw many come up to give their lives to Jesus. What next!? We want to see lives transformed. We want to see people hungry and in love with God. We want the best for our city, Singapore. We want to love God with our whole heart. We want to love one another... We want to do what God wants.

Thank you, Ps Brenden and Daniel Purdie-Smith -  for impacting our lives and making our Explosive Encounter with Jesus happen in a real and deep way. We can't wait to see you next year. We already miss you both.

    Grand Opening Service

    5 October

To celebrate God's awesome blessings in 'engineering' our swift relocation to our new premises (now at level one, just downstairs), we had our wonderful Grand Opening service. We had a great light show, video testimonies, a full band and choir, a great feast and super fellowship...and a powerful message by our fantastic guest-speaker Ps Wilson Teo (Dean of TCA College). We knew we just had to give it our ALL to God, and meeting God at our service was glorious.  All Glory Be To GOD!

    Myanmar Mission Team Report

    22 - 25 August

We can't tell you enough how blessed we were when we spent a few short days ministering in Yangon, Myanmar. Our whole team presented a moving mime which showed Christ's love for all. We also had loads of fun teaching English, equipping the members, facilitating games for 200 people, teaching the children songs and stories, and just getting to know the lovely and warm people of Myanmar.

    9th Anniversary Celebration: Wacky Nite

    12 Jul Saturday

We filled our hall with wonderful people, food, music and wacky performers. We thank our gracious guest-speaker Ps Lawrence Chua (LSBC) for his thought-provoking sermon on a Heart of Wisdom.  And...THANK YOU, GOD, for seeing us through 9 years. We've grown closer to Him and to each other. We love NLCC!

To Our Dear Fathers:  Father's Day Celebration

    22 June Sunday

"I thank God for my Daddy because he buys me toys and comforts me when I'm sad...".  Yup!  Daddies are important not becaase they are bigger and richer than us kids...but because they protect and love us all.  God bless you, dear fathers.

Guest Ministers: Ps Ian and Rose McDonald (Fleet Family Church, UK)

    9 - 11 May

Ps Ian and Rose warmed our hearts with their humility, gentleness and faithfulness. They set out to be available, obey what God wanted and exhort the church (especially the Youth) to step out in faith. There was such a sweetness in their bold faith as they ministered and shared the Word to all of us. We thank God that we have made a new and solid friendship with them. How appropriate it was that they ministered on Mother's Day.

One thing that also 'impressed' us was their adventurous spirit in trying things local as well...like our durians and 'studying' the Botanics in our weather.

    Cambodia Youth Exchange

    11 - 15 April

This was the first of many future Youth Exchange programs IMPACT will embark on where bridges can be built so that we can learn from and bless each other. The wonderful lessons of sharing and understanding another culture's uniqueness and how God just loves all His children all over the world - It's amazing!

The Youth from NLF Cambodia were simply fun and fantatstic.  THANK U, our Friends from Cambodia, for an awesome Youth Concert, your friendship, the music workshops which you conducted.... We will see you soon.

    Resurrection Sunday- Risen Son

    23 March

It began at our Good Friday service on our knees crying out and singing new songs from our hearts.  It was just an amazing time of worship and seeking God.  And it carried on to our fantastic celebration of the Risen Son on Sunday.  It was not just the wonderful program of song, dance and drama that exalted our Lord Jesus Christ.  His Spirit moved in our hearts.  No one could deny His awesome presence at our celebration.  Thank you, Jesus, for all You've done for us!

We had Pastors John and Julie Steele as our guest speakers this year's camp.  We all gathered for terrific weekend which saw the Holy Spirit move in a quietly deep way that moved us to new levels for sure.  It was seen in our worship, preaching and fellowship - clearly, there was transformation and unity. Praise God for His goodness and greatness.

Thank you, Ps John and Julie for your ministry and love for us.

    Water Baptism-Church Picnic

    24 February

We have so much to thank God for - nine people chose to be water-baptized. We were so inspired by their faith and desire to please God.

The weather was superb and as usual, there was such a sweet breeze throughout our picnic and blessing time. It was a wonderful time. Whenever we get together for these special gatherings, something beautiful happens. I think it's the fellowship, unity and new faces that we see each time. GOD is GOOD!

    CNY Reunion Lunch

    17 February

"God Opens Doors That No Man Can Shut" - what a marvellous God we love and serve. God loves us so much to see that we walk in His plan and purposes.  And when we choose to do so, there are doors that will open which we will be so amazed by.

We had a swell time during our reunion lunch. Many friends joined us and it was  a real 'family' time. We were also blessed to have friends from China, Africa and Indonesia with us. All things bright and beautiful. Gong Xi Fa Chai.

    Thank you, Ps Eric Dooley

    3 February

We were so blessed to have Ps Eric Dooley (NLF Vietnam) here with us to encourage and exhort us. Pastor Eric is a friend of the church and wonderful teacher with a great apostolic anointing. We gained so much from his preaching, honest sharing and experience. God bless you and your family, Ps Eric.
