    Our belief statements
The fundamental teachings of this congregation are reflected in the following clear statements of faith.

    God
We believe that there is only one true and living God. He eternally and equally exists in three persons in perfect unity: the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit; as revealed to us in the Bible.
    (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

    Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was sent by God into this world to die on the cross for our sins so that by believing in Him we have eternal life. He is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He lived a sinless live. In the power of the Holy Spirit, He went about preaching, healing and delivering people from the captivity of Sin, Sickness and Satan. He died, was buried and on the third day rose from the dead. He has ascended to Heaven and will return again as the Judge of every person who has ever lived. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:14-18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25; John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

    The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent from God as life and power for those who believe in Jesus Christ. Through the Holy Spirit, we are transformed in our character and empowered in our worship and service through the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit. Living the Spirit-filled life enables us to walk the true Christian faith in the fear of God. (1 Corinthians 12-14, Ephesians 4; 5:18; 2 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1)

    The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and perfect, written Word of God. It contains all things necessary for salvation, teaches God's will for His world, and has supreme authority for faith, life and the continuous renewal and reform of the Church. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13)

    Salvation

We believe that we are saved from our sins and reconciled to God only through believing and accepting by grace through faith what Jesus Christ has perfectly and sufficiently done for us on the cross. It is not by our effort or merit but a free gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11)

    Baptism

We believe in the two separate experiences of Water Baptism and Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Water Baptism by immersion is our act of obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ’s command; and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers and received by faith, and evidenced through the speaking of tongues. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:34-36; 19:1-6; Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-45; Galatians 3:14-15)

    Creation and Man

We believe in the creation, test and fall of Man who remains spiritually dead and condemned without Christ. (Romans 5:12, 18)

    Eternal Judgment

We believe in the reality of the Devil and his eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire together with his fallen angels.  Likewise, there is eternal punishment for those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ; whereas there is eternal life for believers. (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:14-15; John 5:24; 3:16; Mark 9:43-48; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15)

    The Church

We believe in the one true universal Church which is composed of many local churches which are under the Lord Jesus Christ’s sovereign headship while being self-governing. The Church is the Body of Christ, whose members believe in Jesus Christ. They are joined together by the Holy Spirit who provides His gifts to everyone to contribute to the growth and ministry of the Body of Christ. Therefore all believers have a place and part to play and they do this by committing themselves to a local church for accountability, growth and ministry. In this respect, the church corporately and regularly partakes of the Holy Communion, and is active in the ministries of healing and deliverance in the name of Jesus. (Acts 15:22; Matthew 16:18; 18:15-20; Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14; Mark 16:17; 1 Corinthians 11:28-32; Matthew 26:26-28)

    Government

We believe God has divinely put into place Government and figures of authority over our lives for our good.  We choose to submit to and honor these appointed leaders. We also declare our loyalty to our Government and its leaders, and will assist in every possible way that’s consistent with our faith as Christian citizens. (Romans 13)
