CHOIR Guidelines and Criteria
Here are some guidelines to help you better understand what being in the choir means. It is our hope that you will grow into a true worshipper (in spirit and in truth). It’s really good that you have a heart to serve. God will use you for His glory. It will be FUN!(& thrilling…..)
Characteristics/Criteria of a Choir Member:
1. Someone who loves Praise and Worship.
2. Someone who is expressive in their Praise and Worship.
3. Someone who truly loves God and lives it.
4. Someone who can hold a tune or sing on key.
5. Someone who is faithful and committed to practices and serving with excellence.
How to join this Ministry?
- Pass choir audition
- Go through an interview if necessary
- Complete Membership classes
The auditions include testing of: hearing, vocals, rhythm, tone, pitching & range
One piece of advice: Passing (or not passing) the auditions is in no way an indication of your worth and value to God or anyone in church. You are important and precious in God’s sight. We are all called to love God with our heart, soul, mind and strength.
